adoption

I am officially taking down my cousins adoption button. I am so excited - last month Marcie and Sam received the cutest little boy. They named him Patton. I am excited for them to start their family and enjoy all those wonderful moments that come with little ones. It is hard work but the rewards are great.

Wall hanging

In October I started making these blocks, I made lots of these blocks. My goal was to make 2 lapquilts but as I was laying them on the carpet, Greg commented that it would make a cute wallhanging above the fireplace. Way above the fireplace, hmm. it is possible with a ladder but we will see--- so I changed my plans and made the wallhanging -ta da and a twin. It is done now so we will see if it makes it up. The twin top is down just need to be quilted =that is the last of my tops. Yea!! of course I can not help myself and started 2 more baby quilts. giggle gigle. I love putting the tops together and struggle with finishing. hmm what does that say about me.

Photo assignment

Melissa had taken a photo of a glass with a shadow and it was chosen to be put on display at the library. On Tuesday the library had an open house for the high school students pictures/photos. etc. It was interesting to go and see the pictures. I think Howard and Russells favorite part was the cookies.

pinewood derby

Howard had his pinewood derby last weekend. He had a great time. His troop worked on their cars each week for a month. One day they cut out, then they sanded, painted and put stickers on. He had a ball. He was able to race it twice in each lane. He didn't win but had a great time. Thanks to wonderful leaders.

I finished this last week, I started it last summer and didn't really like the way it turned out but it has grown on me and is now looking for a home.
