So a couple of weeks ago our ward had a talent show. It was awesome. Our ward is so talented with musicians, singers, etc. They put together a band and played songs. I loved it. They also had displays and I decided to display some of my quilts. I find it funny the pink quilt on bottom is the very first one I made for Melissa 9 years ago and the one on the right of the table is my most recent top done. Who would have thought that quilt would start an obsession with quilting and fabric.

old chair new life
Andrew found this chair downstairs in the storage area. We have used it to paint before as you can tell. He asked me if he could have it in his room by his desk. Luckily I had extra colts fabric and stuck a pillow on the seat and slip covered it. It matches his curtains and his room and looks great.
I finally put on a quilt top on frames and have been working on finishing my projects. I have 2 baby quilt ideas running around in my head and am anxious to do them.

Red head
On saturday Melissa's friend Sierra came over and colored Melissas hair. Sierra wants to be a hair stylist and she usually trims Melissa's bangs. They had to talk me into letting them color her hair but I guess if it doesn't look good it will grow/wash out so it was a go. Melissa is now a subtle red head. I don't think you can tell from the pictures but she looks so cute. They had a lot of fun and lots of giggling went on.

New Picture
I haven't changed my picture in a year so we took one 2 weeks ago. I love it, the kids are getting so big. I am still taller than all of them for the moment. Of course Melissa is right there. When she is wearing her heels she is taller. I found it funny I had the same sweater I had on in last years picture, it is one of my favorite- oh well. I have been thinking about a lot of things lately and am so thankful for my wonderful husband and kids. I love being married and love being a mom. It is hard and a lot of work but they make me happy and I love them.
